There is additional provision for the School of Advanced Study, the Institute of Cancer Research, Glasgow Caledonian University London and QA Higher Education. All the institutional services are closely aligned to the learning and teaching, student experience, employability and enterprise strategies of the institutions that they serve.
We are seeking to appoint a Careers Service Team Leader for the UCL Faculty of Engineering, within UCL Careers.
This role will be a member of the College Careers Service Leadership Team at UCL, and is responsible for the strategic direction, leadership and operational management of the UCL Faculty of Engineering Careers team.
The role holder will be responsible for leading and managing a team of careers professionals working within UCL Faculty of Engineering across various functions, including employer engagement, student guidance and sourcing internships and vacancies. UCL’s Faculty of Engineering has over 4,000 students at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels, studying within eleven academic departments. The Faculty undertakes research and training across a range of disciplines on a global scale and is renowned for being at the cutting edge of the discipline.
The mission of UCL Careers is to support students and recent graduates with all aspects of careers education and to connect with a wide range of relevant graduate employers. The successful candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and have good knowledge and experience working within Higher Education, careers, recruitment or other related sectors, as well as sound knowledge of the UK graduate labour market.
The candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills and the proven ability to develop effective relationships at all levels, as well as tenacity and drive to achieve outcomes. People management skills are desirable as managing a multi-functional team will form a considerable part of this role.
