This role is in the Cass Business School Career and Professional Development team. This specialist careers team partner with MBA and MSc students to develop their lifelong employability skills in preparation for diverse careers within business.

The role of MBA Relationship Manager is to manage relationships between students and employers, whilst providing a professional development curriculum to up skill students. Students include: FT MBA, EMBA, MEMBA, (London and Dubai) recent graduates and alumni.


  • Provide information, advice and guidance to help MBA students make realistic choices about employment opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain relevant networks to ensure up to date labour market information, legislation, and professional and academic developments by visiting employers, training providers and training events run by educational and professional bodies.
  • Run small group sessions or larger presentations/workshops on all aspects of careers work and topics related to professional development.
  • Develop new relationships with targeted employers to encourage on campus events, networking opportunities and vacancies for students.

Person Specification

  • Experience in experienced hire recruitment for a globally recognised brand is required – either agency or in house (E).
  • Ability to develop strong relationships (E).
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) (E).
  • Experience of giving presentations to large audiences (E).
  • Knowledge of recruitment processes in Consulting and or Financial Services (E).
  • Previous experience in developing or delivering job search workshops (such as career planning/ self-assessment, CVs, Assessment Centres). (P).
  • Previous experience of working in an MBA Careers team (P).
  • Previous experience in recruiting MBA students (P).

Additional Information

Core hours 9.30 – 5.30. Attendance at evening events required.
