Dyson will open the Institute of Technology in September 2017, offering a high quality alternative to a engineering university education.
We will give a group of school leavers a full time job in our New Product Development team whilst they work towards an engineering degree. The programme will form part of Dyson’s apprenticeship offering. A new part-time general engineering degree course is being written by Dyson and the University of Warwick. We expect to expand the Institute in the future to offer a range of engineering degree disciplines.

The focus of the role will change as the project progresses. Initially the Development Manager will support the recruitment of the cohort. They will then manage the induction process and support the development of the cohort of school leavers as they join the Dyson business and progress in their course and roles.
The importance of this role means you must be a skilled influencer who can build strong relationships at all levels and work effectively in a rapidly changing matrix management environment. Naturally, you'll have proven learning and talent development experience and ideally some experience in designing and managing apprenticeship programmes. Alternatively, you may hold experience in running apprenticeship schemes for an employer or training provider. Commercially astute, with a real passion for talent, you will have a responsive approach and an ability to make effective commercial judgments and plan and execute effective talent and apprenticeship interventions required to deliver the business strategy.
